Fujitsu Announces an Exchange Program for Notebook Batteries

AMILO A, AMILO M and AMILO Pro V2020 models impacted
Munich, June 15, 2005 – Fujitsu announced a proactive exchange program on batteries in specific AMILO notebook products. The company took the decision to implement the exchange program after receiving a very limited number of customer reports of a defect in the batteries. The company recommends that on specific models, customers should stop using the batteries immediately, and operate their notebook on AC power only. This exchange program will provide a replacement battery free of charge.

Customer satisfaction and safety is our main concern. This proactive battery exchange program is important to Fujitsu and we want to make sure that we reach as many people as possible with this communication. We stand behind the quality of our products and our priority is to meet the expectations customers have of our company.

We also request for safety and environmental reasons, that customers return the potentially defective batteries. Customers will receive information on the return program when they receive their replacement battery.
